Parole and Probation Rights Washington DC

Probation is a legal term used to describe an individual who has been mandated by a court order to follow certain conditions, which may or may not be supervised by a probation officer. A court my set conditions like the following: curfews, house arrest, electronic location monitors, psychological treatment, or duties to perform as community service. Parole is also a legal term. Parole, as defined by its mandates, is serving the remainder of a sentence outside of prison. Like probation, parole is given with the condition to abide by certain restrictions. However, it should not be confused with, or compared to, probation, as parole restrictions tend to be more lenient.
